Strathcona-Tweedsmuir School is Alberta’s only independent K–12 IB Continuum World School, offering the Primary Years, Middle Years, and Diploma Programmes. Located in Okotoks, Alberta, on a 220-acre foothills campus near Calgary, the institution maintains CAIS membership and global engagement through the Round Square network. Learning is framed by curiosity and inquiry, with emphasis on intellectual independence, global perspective, and character development within a small, close-knit community. Its program extends beyond academics to include outdoor education, STEM, the arts, athletics, and leadership development. The school hosts the Centre for Excellence and Leadership in Teaching and Learning and operates STAND, a hybrid program expanding access to IB education. In March 2022, STS hosted its first Innovation Fair, reflecting ongoing experiential learning initiatives.
