Founded in 2012 and based in New York City, Student Voice was a youth-led nonprofit operating in the education administration sector. Its work focused on education equity by elevating student voices to influence policy and practice within schools. In its final phase it sunset national programming and transferred its assets, including a six-figure donation, to the Kentucky Student Voice Team. Throughout its years of operation, the organization pursued student-driven advocacy and initiatives aimed at improving representation within the education system. It engaged in partnerships over time to develop tools and approaches that supported student engagement and safeguarding in school contexts.
