Stuyvesant Capital Management is an independent investment advisory firm located in Armonk, NY. The firm was co-founded in 1978 by John B. Cooper. Mr. Cooper is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder and member of CFA Society New York (formerly The New York Society of Security Analysts) and the CFA Institute. For over 40 years, the firm has served as investment advisors to institutions and high net worth individuals. Our clients include profit-sharing and 401-K plans, IRAs, defined benefit plans, and charitable trusts. We manage equity-only and balanced portfolios. Stuyvesant is proud of its long history of performance, as well as the excellent client service that the firm provides. We work with each new client and their advisors/trustees to clarify their financial goals and risk tolerance, in order to construct a customized flexible investment program. We have recently incorporated a behavioral-type analysis in the formation of our clients' custom Investment Policy Statement in order to better serve their needs. We build long term relationships through frequent client contact. We get to know our client's needs by working closely with them, which enables us to adjust their portfolios accordingly. Many of our clients have been with our firm since inception.
