The Stuyvesant Student Union functions as the student government of Stuyvesant High School, aiming to connect students with the administration through policy changes, events, and services. To ensure representation across the student body, the union operates four grade-level caucuses so the concerns of each class can be voiced. Its work is organized into seven departments that cover a range of activities, from expanding clubs and events to building partnerships with public officials and local organizations, budgeting, safety, and communications. Based in New York City, New York, the organization is a small- to mid-sized, student-led entity.
