Subsea Tech is an SME based in Marseille, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, founded in December 2005, focused on marine and underwater technologies. It operates through three core activities: developing bespoke R&D solutions for underwater observation, intervention, or monitoring; producing and supporting small- to mid-series unmanned vehicles and underwater cameras for inspection and monitoring. It also provides underwater intervention services using professional pilots for video and sonar surveys and bathymetric work on civil projects such as ports, dams, bridges, and waterways. Within five years of its founding, Subsea Tech had established itself as a leading player in the global mini-ROV market, while maintaining ongoing R&D and special projects to develop new products. The company serves a diverse range of sectors—ports security, civil engineering, oceanography, aquaculture, offshore oil and gas, marine renewable energies, and yachting—and targets both French and international clients and institutions with innovative non-standard underwater solutions. Subsea Tech is accredited as a research organization by the French Ministry of Education and Research and participates in industry clusters, complemented by an international distributor network.
