SubSurface Surveys & Associates, Inc (SSS) is an applied geophysical company and was established in December of 2004 through the acquisition of SubSurface Surveys.  SubSurface Surveys was originally founded in 1988 by Dr. Gary Crosby, PhD, GP, RG.  SSS is a privately owned small business specializing in near-surface geophysics and utility locating services and is dedicated to establishing strong client relationships.  SSS extensive education and experience in using multiple techniques and methods for solving more complex problems has been a key to the company success over the years.  

Phil Walen, our chief geophysicist, and Travis Crosby, our senior geophysicist at SubSurface Surveys and Associates, Inc. have over 50 combined years of experience in geophysical applications.  SSS uses a variety of geophysical methods to solve problems across a wide range of disciplines including engineering and construction, environmental, geotechnical, hydrogeology and groundwater, archeology, and mineral exploration.
