Sunnyside Communities is a nonprofit Life Plan Community (also known as a Continuing Care Retirement Community) with more than a century of experience and a commitment to enriching the lives of older adults. With three distinct, award-winning communities across Virginia—Sunnyside in Harrisonburg, King’s Grant in Martinsville, and Summit Square in Waynesboro—we are proud to serve over 800 residents with the support of 500 dedicated team members.

Founded in 1912, Sunnyside Communities is the only retirement organization in Virginia with more than 100 years of continuous service. Our mission is to add life to years by offering retirement living choices that support the physical, spiritual, social, psychological, and security needs of each resident—all within the framework of our caring Christian values.
