Based out of Rockville, MD, Supertechs, Inc. is a manufacturer of advanced TdT reagents and related products. These reagents are used by diagnostic laboratories to perform investigatory tests concerning the presence of abnormal or cancerous hematopoetic cells that can serve as an indicator for various types of leukemia. Supertechs produces immunoaffinity-purified monoclonal anti-TdT antibodies conjugated with fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) and their complementary negative control reagents for flow cytometric analysis. As control cells for flow cytometry studies - Supertechs manufactures lymphoblastoid REH (TdT⁺) and RA-1 (TdT⁻) cells prepared as a fixed cell suspension with about 50% TdT⁺ cells and 50% TdT⁻. For slide staining, immunoaffinity-purified polyclonal rabbit antibodies specific to human and bovine TdT as well as FITC labeled goat:anti-rabbit reagents are available. These conjugates are usually used for staining of TdT positive cells in blood or bone marrow smears and in paraffin tissue sections.
