Founded as a small artisanal workshop, Surgital has grown while maintaining a strong bond with its local roots, even as it expanded beyond its original boundaries. The dream that, from the very beginning, was to bring fresh pasta into kitchens all over the world has become a concrete project.
Today, Surgital is a well-structured industrial company that, while preserving its original core business, has become a benchmark in the international market. Every day it produces and deep-freezes 175 tonnes of fresh pasta, 90,000 single-portion ready meals, and 30 tonnes of sauces in Pepite® format. It employs more than 350 people at the Lavezzola (RA) plant and over 500 across the Group.
Its offering is mainly focused on the Ho.Re.Ca. and food service channel (75%), while the remaining 25% is dedicated to large-scale retail, door-to-door sales, and industrial private label.
Italy currently remains the primary market (55%), but the company is now present in 63 countries worldwide, with exports accounting for 45%
