Sutherland Labs operates in the design services space, blending research methods with design thinking to improve everyday experiences. Its multidisciplinary team includes researchers, strategists, designers and technologists who study human behavior to uncover and realize solutions to everyday puzzles that frustrate users. While the work centers on understanding customers' conscious and unspoken needs and how these may change over time, the firm also considers marketplace feasibility, technology realities and business requirements throughout a project. Based in London, England, the company serves a range of clients across industries, partnering with leading brands to address complex user experience and product design challenges. In October 2023, Sutherland Labs announced a partnership with Corporation Pop to develop Xploro, a patient facing app intended to empower patients and support better clinical outcomes. The firm describes itself as a small to mid-sized studio focused on researching and designing for change in a dynamic business environment.
