Swadden & Company is a downtown Vancouver law firm founded by Richard Swadden in 1988. It now comprises nine lawyers. Our firm’s main area of practice is personal injury defence work, and our main client is the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia. All of our lawyers and paralegals carry on a substantial insurance defence practice. Our lawyers range in experience from three years to 40 years and have a combined practice experience of more than 150 years. We have appeared before all levels of court in British Columbia and have conducted numerous jury trials. We have participated in arbitrations and in hundreds of mediations. In addition, our firm acts for plaintiffs with personal injury claims, pursues and defends litigation arising from disputes over estates, provides estate planning and prepares Wills, assists with probate applications and estate administration, incorporates companies, assists with corporate reorganizations, and handles real estate sales, purchases, and mortgages.
