SWOG Cancer Research Network designs and runs publicly funded clinical trials focused on improving outcomes for people with cancer, operating within the National Cancer Institute’s National Clinical Trials Network and its National Oncology Community Research Program. It comprises a broad network of researchers and professionals—more than 20,000 members across 46 states and eight other countries—collaborating to advance cancer care. In May 2026, SWOG and ECOG-ACRIN Cancer Research Group announced a collaboration to analyze paired original and recurrent tumor specimens from two breast cancer trials, reflecting ongoing cross-group research activity.
