Swoop’s mission is to make the user the human algorithm in a visualized web of information Combining design and programming skills, Swoop is creating a visual map of the web, granting users complete control of the search process. A more dynamic and expressive search process lessens the algorithmic complexity and provides a greater transparency of search results. Paul, Michael, and Quinn founded Swoop Search in 2011 with the goal of redesigning search to optimize the new social web. Their idea for Swoop stemmed from a family debate over a Fortune magazine article covering the Google versus Facebook rivalry. Since our founding, Swoop has built a team, developed a product, and refined a roadmap for the future. Swoop is striving to make the SwoopSpace ubiquitous to the web.
