Symons General Store, Inc. is a restaurant group located in northern Michigan specializing in food and beverage service on many levels.  As a fine purveyor of specialty groceries, wine and spirits, Symons General Store, the group’s retail store is home to a wine cellar containing a selection of over 400 bottles of wine as well as a specialty grocery store featuring some of the finest gourmet items available and a full service deli serving breakfast, lunch, soups and more all day, every day.  Symons General Store is also home to Petoskey’s original cheese counter offering a diverse selection of fine cheeses from around the world.

Symons General Store, Inc. operates Chandler’s - A Restaurant, a fine dining establishment serving progressive American cuisine.  Chandler's- A Restaurant opened its doors in December of 1999, just behind the historic Symons General Store building. Chandler's has three dining areas, each with its own unique ambiance. Their main dining room is cozy and intimate, with only 50 seats (plus a few at the bar!). It has a European atmosphere, with rustic brick floors and wood walls covered with local artist Kevin Barton's colorful paintings. For a change of scenery, guests can enjoy dining in the wine cellar, surrounded by over 5,000 bottles of wine. In the warmer months, our charming brick courtyard is the preferred spot for our guests to enjoy a meal.
