Synapse Florida is a nonprofit organization based in Tampa that serves as a connector within Florida’s innovation landscape. Founded in 2018 after launching its flagship event, the organization brings together tech hubs, incubators, accelerators, higher-education programs, and nonprofits to foster collaboration and growth.
Its mission is to catalyze economic growth and social impact by increasing visibility to essential resources, talent, investors, and corporate partners, and by creating spaces that maximize opportunities for cross-organizational engagement. The group seeks to broaden the definition of innovation beyond technology and to bridge silos across industry, persona, and geography. In late 2023, Synapse Florida partnered with Tampa General Hospital’s Cancer Institute and with other regional cancer institutes to issue challenges aimed at delivering lifesaving cancer care in rural areas.
