The Talking Information Center (TIC) is a Massachusetts-based broadcaster focused on serving visually impaired and print-impaired audiences. Founded in 1978, TIC delivers around-the-clock programming via radio and cable outlets, five state affiliates, and online streaming, with podcasts added to broaden accessibility. The organization relies on more than 200 volunteers in its Marshfield studio to produce a diverse lineup that includes newspapers, consumer topics, book lists, history, and sports. Located in Marshfield, TIC operates within the broadcast media production and distribution sector, combining affiliate distribution with online delivery to reach a global audience. It has a history of live coverage for the Bay State Council of the Blind and the National Federation of the Blind state conventions, and in 2014 provided live coverage of the Boston Marathon's visually impaired division.
