Tamarack Health Ashland Medical Center is a Critical Access Hospital based in Ashland, Wisconsin, serving patients from seven northwestern Wisconsin counties and Gogebic County in Michigan as a regional referral center. The facility offers a broad spectrum of inpatient and outpatient care, including medical-surgical services, intensive care, obstetrics with labor, delivery, postpartum and recovery suites, and urgent 24-hour emergency care. An on-campus Behavioral Health unit provides inpatient and outpatient AODA and mental health therapies, complementing Lifeline emergency response and hospice services. The center performs various surgeries (orthopedic, urology, ophthalmology, ENT, OB/GYN, and general) and provides diagnostic services such as laboratory testing, radiology (MRI, CT, ultrasound), endoscopy, sleep studies, nutrition, and pharmacy; it also operates rehabilitation programs including cardiac and cardiopulmonary, physical, occupational, and speech therapies, and sports medicine. Luke Beirl was appointed interim CEO and President in February 2024 to lead Tamarack Health Ashland Medical Center.
