The Frances Young Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery at Skidmore College operates as a university-driven cultural institution that integrates art with interdisciplinary teaching across the liberal arts curriculum. Opened in 2000 and designed by Antoine Predock, the museum supports undergraduate education by providing a space where art and related disciplines intersect to enhance teaching and learning beyond traditional museum functions. Located in Saratoga Springs, New York, it serves Skidmore College students and faculty, along with the broader campus community, as a platform for exhibitions, performances, and scholarly engagement that contribute to curricular exploration. The museum is part of the higher education and cultural sector, operating within the Museums, Historical Sites, and Zoos industry, and it is staffed by a workforce typical of a mid-sized campus cultural institution. A recent activity highlights the museum's ongoing role in student-driven artistic development, showcased through Skidmore College’s annual Senior Thesis Art Exhibition, which gathers senior studio art majors to present capstone work.
