Target Margin is an OBIE Award winning company that strives to expand the possibilities of what can take place in a theater. Since 1991, we have positively changed the cultural landscape of New York with innovative productions of classics, opera, literature and new plays inspired by historical sources. ‘Difference' is the generative principle of everything we do, from the work we develop, to our office structure, and our strong history of age, race and gender diversity in our casts and company makeup is one of our most distinguishing features.  Over the past 29 years, we have produced more than 47 Mainstage productions, 130 individual Lab productions by emerging artists, and supported the careers of producers / arts managers further impacting the field.
