We have a vision of "A Home for All" and believe that everyone in our community deserves a safe and decent place to call home. For more than 25 years, TCHC has been working with the community to achieve our mission of leading, coordinating, and developing resources and strategies to end homelessness in Tarrant and Parker counties. We serve those who serve the homeless, reaching all populations impacted including families with children, singles, runaway youth, domestic violence survivors, veterans, and those struggling with mental illness and/or addiction. TCHC has three primary functions: planning, systems integration, and information management, all of which benefit the entire community of service providers. TCHC engages in planning through the development of community-wide strategies to end homelessness based on data, partner feedback, consumer feedback, and funding guidelines. Through systems integration, we design systems to make accessing services easier and more streamlined for those experiencing homelessness, ensuring everyone gets, and stays, housed. Finally, our work in information management specifically related to the Homeless Management Information System, allows our community to record, track, and report results of individual agency accomplishments, as well as measuring how the entire community is performing.
