Tata BlueScope Steel operates in the building construction sector as a manufacturer and supplier of color-coated steel, advanced building solutions, and premium roofing products for India and the SAARC region. The company traces its origins to a strategic joint venture between Tata Steel and BlueScope Steel of Australia, two longstanding global players formed to transform India's construction landscape. Based in Pune, Maharashtra, it draws on extensive research and engineering expertise to serve residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. Its portfolio includes coated steel products and building systems, with brands such as COLORBOND steel, ZINCALUME steel, LYSAGHT, EZYBUILD, and DURASHINE, which signify durability and sustainability.

Its customers include builders, developers, and other professionals in construction seeking reliable materials and integrated steel-based solutions to address durability and weather resistance.
