At the heart of our approach is the Team Teach 95% principle – 95% of our training focuses on understanding behaviours and encouraging de-escalation. Only 5% considers the need for physical intervention, assessed through a needs-based approach. By increasing staff confidence and competence, we support teaching, learning and caring, whilst promoting and protecting positive relationships. Our aim is always to minimise risk and maximise positive outcomes for all.
