Founded in 1994, Teen Esteem educates, equips and empowers K-12 students throughout the Bay Area. Our message to kids and teens is that their value is based on WHO they are, not the choices they make. It is never too late to get their life back on track! TE's dynamic, interactive classroom presentations and assemblies address challenges students face in school and at home. We promote self-respect, healthy choices and risk avoidance using accurate, up-to-date statistics woven into our curriculum and provide online resources to students, parents and caregivers. We want kids and teens to know their lives matter! In 2025, our team reached 20,000 students! Relief, validation, understanding and hope are the positive outcomes shared by thousands of young people impacted each year by Teen Esteem. Our programs work! 97% of students surveyed reported that our presentation empowered them to make good decisions that will affect their future. Teen Esteem is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization funded by private charitable donations.
