The Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) is a UAE government body responsible for regulating the telecommunications sector and enabling digital transformation in government. Established in 2003 by Federal Law Decree No. 3, it operates in two main domains: telecom regulation and digital-government enablement. In its regulatory role, TDRA aims to promote high-quality telecom services, grow the ICT sector, protect stakeholders’ interests, and implement policy and regulatory frameworks. In its enablement role, it oversees federal entities’ digital transformation under Law No. 3 of 2011, pursuing the goals of expanding the digital lifestyle and strengthening the UAE’s leadership in digital infrastructure. The organization is based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
