Tenn South Distillery produces small-batch artisan spirits rooted in the Tennessee whiskey-making tradition. The company was founded by a radiologist and an engineer who sought to blend time-honored distilling techniques with a modern, fresh approach. After a 2009 change in state law, the team moved forward in 2011 by acquiring land outside Lynnville in Giles County, installing a copper pot still and building the facility, and obtaining the federal license to operate; the first product, All Purpose Shine, reached Tennessee retailers in August 2013.

The current lineup includes Abernathy Gin, Black Mule Vodka, Clayton James Tennessee Whiskey, Old King Corn Whiskey, and a range of Shines such as All Purpose, All Mighty, Apple Pie, Peach Pie, and Blackberry. The distillery is based outside Lynnville, in Giles County, Tennessee, and continues to distill and age whiskey as its core activity within the beverage manufacturing sector.
