The mission of Tennessee Caregiver Coalition is to ensure the quality of life for family caregivers through respite. Respite, a temporary break, is one of the top requested services asked for by full-time family caregivers in Tennessee. Respite is essential to maintaining quality of life for families and is often referred to as the gift of time. The Tennessee Respite Coalition gives relief to families and caregivers from the extraordinary and intensive demands of providing ongoing care through a variety of programs and events. Respite is a vital part of the continuum of family services intended to reduce family stress, support family stability, prevent abuse and neglect, and minimize the need for out-of-home placements.
