The Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network (TSPN) is a statewide nonprofit focused on implementing the Tennessee Strategy for Suicide Prevention as defined by the 2001 National Strategy for Suicide Prevention. Operating as a grassroots coalition, it brings together counselors, mental health professionals, physicians, clergy, journalists, social workers, and survivors of suicide under the direction of an Executive Director. Its objective is to reduce suicide rates in Tennessee by working to eliminate stigma surrounding suicide and educating communities about warning signs. TSPN advances its mission through regular regional activities, training provided to community organizations on suicide prevention and crisis intervention, and postvention sessions for schools and organizations after suicides occur. Based in Nashville, Tennessee, the organization emphasizes inclusion across ages, races, and socioeconomic backgrounds and seeks broad participation in its prevention efforts. A notable recent development is the 2025 statewide launch of a public service announcement created with voice actor Nancy-Lynne Walters and distributed by the Tennessee Association of Broadcasters.
