Tergar International is a Minneapolis, Minnesota-based nonprofit organization focused on making the ancient wisdom of meditation accessible to the modern world. As a 501(c)(3) entity, it supports its mission by providing expert guidance—from Mingyur Rinpoche and Tergar lamas to trained community leaders—and a structured path of meditation training complemented by events and online programs. It also cultivates a diverse global community of meditators who engage with these offerings.

The organization’s audience includes meditators and individuals seeking contemplative development, who gain access to guidance, training, and community to cultivate awareness, compassion, and wisdom. It operates within the non-profit and mindfulness/meditation landscape, aiming to bridge traditional spiritual teachings with contemporary practice. In 2025, Tergar International was recognized as Path of Liberation for its Buddhist practices, reflecting recent external acknowledgment of its work.
