Tesla NanoCoatings, founded by Todd Hawkins, is a nanotechnology research and development company with a focus on carbon nanotubes (CNTs). For the first time since their discovery in 1991, Tesla NanoCoatings has successfully brought carbon nanotubes out of the lab and into the protective coatings industry where they demonstrate incredible prowess. With a tensile strength 50 times greater than that of steel, our carbon nanocoatings provide offshore steel structures with the highest level of impact resistance available today. If their immense strength wasn’t impressive enough, CNTs also serve as incredible conductors of electricity with roughly 1,000 times the conductivity of copper. This CNT technology makes our protective coatings the most effective against corrosion and oxidation by far, even in harsh offshore environments.
