TetraGenetics, an AbCellera company, empowers antibody discovery against difficult-to-drug targets by providing high quality recombinant transmembrane proteins, including human ion channels, G protein-coupled receptors and other transmembrane proteins.

Transmembrane proteins, which are implicated in many human diseases, are both difficult to produce and difficult to drug. TetraGenetics’ protein production platform, TetraExpress™, uses the protist Tetrahymena thermophila to quickly produce large quantities of properly folded, functional transmembrane proteins. This solves the protein production challenge, providing the critical reagents needed throughout the antibody discovery process, from immunization and screening to characterization and protein engineering.
