Tevis Oil traces its origins to 1932 and began serving its first service station in 1935, later diversifying into the convenience-retail sector in 1981. The initial Tevco store in Finksburg operated as a self-serve truck stop with unbranded fuel, hot food, and everyday items, setting the stage for expansion. In 1987 the Jiffy Mart brand was introduced, and by 2001 all Tevco convenience stores had been rebranded as Jiffy Mart. Headquartered in Westminster, Maryland, the business operates mainly in Carroll County where Jiffy Mart functions as a local convenience store. The network comprises four Tevis Oil-owned stores and four leased stations, with two owned locations offering Shell fuel and two with unbranded fuel, and leased sites including two Shell-branded, one BP-branded, and one unbranded. Three of the owned stores host Subway restaurants, one has a self-service car wash that was recently upgraded, and the company maintains community involvement through partnerships with St. Jude Children’s Hospital, the American Breast Cancer Foundation, Carroll Hospital Foundation, and Shepherds Staff.
