The Texas Academy of General Dentistry  is a professional organization who’s mission is to help general dentists to succeed. Formed in 1961, it is the only association in Texas that exclusively represents the needs and interests of general dentists who are the primary care providers for patients of all ages and are responsible for the diagnosis, treatment, management, and overall coordination of services related to patients’ oral health needs. 

Representing nearly 2,700 members at the Capital of Texas and before the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners (TSBDE), we partner together to help guide the journey of Fellowship, Mastership, and Lifelong Learning in order to provide quality dental care in general practice.  We are the largest Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) state constituent. 

The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) is a professional association of more than 40,000 general dentists, dedicated to providing quality dental care and oral health education to the public. Founded in 1952, AGD is the second largest dental association in the United States and serves the needs and represents the interests of general dentists.
