Texas Brigades is a nonprofit educational organization based in New Braunfels, Texas, dedicated to educating and empowering youths with leadership skills and knowledge about wildlife, fisheries, and land stewardship to become stewards of natural resources and advocates for conservation. Operating as a 501(c)(3) organization, it implements a statewide program model built around three core offerings: Summer Camps, Experiences, and Wildlife Intensive Leadership Development. Each year the programs reach more than 300 youth and engage participants from communities across Texas, helping them develop a connection to the land and a sustained interest in conservation. Summer Camps are for ages 13 to 17 and span eight locations across the state, emphasizing leadership, teamwork, and communication while covering topics from inland fisheries to wetlands biology. Experiences provide single-day outdoor learning for ages 9 to 17 through partnerships with volunteers and other organizations, and W.I.L.D. offers an academic-year experience for ages 18 to 23 focused on policy, field research, and personal and professional development.
