Founded in 1950, the Texas Health Care Association (THCA) is the largest long term care association in Texas. The mission of the Texas Health Care Association is to unite, represent, and support professionals who strive to improve the delivery, quality, and integrity of long term healthcare services.
Our objectives are: 

To continually refine and develop membership services that meet the needs of both state and national Association members

To build consumer alliances and regulatory partnerships

To advocate for appropriate funding for resident well-being

To advocate for a fair enforcement and litigation environment in which providers can meet the needs of their residents

To provide education about the long term care profession

To develop and participate in efforts to improve and measure the quality of long term healthcare services
