Founded in 1950, the Texas Health Care Association is the largest association in Texas focused on long-term care. It brings together professionals across the sector to improve the delivery, quality, and integrity of long-term healthcare services. As a membership organization based in Austin, it aims to develop and enhance services for both state and national members and to foster collaborations with consumer groups and regulatory bodies. THCA advocates for policies that support resident well-being and for a regulatory and enforcement environment that enables providers to meet residents’ needs. Through education about the long-term care profession and participation in efforts to improve and measure the quality of care, it supports providers in delivering safe, high-quality services.
