TEXSAR is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit first responder organization headquartered in Austin, Texas. It serves all residents of the state and deploys at the request of law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency management agencies. The organization provides a broad range of specialized services, including ground search and rescue, flood and swiftwater rescue, K9 search and recovery, disaster relief, wildland fire response, aerial search, unmanned aircraft support, and dive team operations, and maintains self-sufficiency in incident management, logistics, and communications.

TEXSAR operates through multiple divisions across Texas and deploys to all 254 counties. Founded in 2004, it has grown into one of the state's largest volunteer-staffed search and rescue organizations and a leader in emergency services and disaster response. In June 2026, TEXSAR announced the appointment of Dr. Michael Duffek as Director of Field Operations.
