The Chicago High School for the Arts (ChiArts) supports students who show artistic potential by offering intensive pre-professional arts training alongside a college-preparatory curriculum. As Chicago's first public high school dedicated to the arts, it divides the day between academic classes in the morning and conservatory training in the afternoon. The program follows a daily rhythm of about five hours of academics, three hours of arts instruction in the chosen major, and up to four hours of rehearsal or practice, spanning disciplines such as creative writing, dance, music, theatre, and visual arts. 

Based in Chicago, United States, ChiArts operates in the performing arts education sector as a public high school that integrates rigorous academics with conservatory training to prepare students for college and professional work in the arts. In 2023 the school announced leadership appointments, naming Tina Boyer Brown as Executive Director and Pavielle Driver as Principal.
