Headquartered in New Jersey, The Connell Company is one of the largest diversified privately-held companies in the United States with a multi-generational track record of successful business operations.  Since its inception in 1926, the Company has been 100% owned and managed by the Connell family.  Four generations have been involved in the business, with three currently active. 

The Company is a conservatively managed organization with diverse business operations that strategically balance short-term profits and long-term objectives.  Over a significant portion of its history, Connell was the largest non-governmental rice trader in the world and a major broker of sugar and sugar products. Other meaningful businesses have included agricultural consulting, purchasing services, mining equipment and import/export activities.

Today, Connell's operations include:  the international supplying of equipment and services to the mining industry (Connell Mining), the leasing of equipment, rolling stock, locomotives, barges, mining equipment and machinery (Connell Finance), the leasing of forklift trucks and other material handling equipment (Connell Equipment Leasing Company), and the acquisition, development and ownership of real estate (Connell Real Estate & Development Co.).
