The Cooperative is a state-licensed maternal and child health consortium serving seven New Jersey counties: Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem. For more than 40 years, it has worked to improve health outcomes for families and children by collaborating with policymakers, healthcare providers, government agencies, and individuals to strengthen the system of care. Its programs range from public health education to case management and provider training, addressing issues such as infant mortality, perinatal substance use, postpartum depression, lead exposure, and smoking cessation. In 2002, it established a subsidiary, Family Health Initiatives, and it maintains offices in Pennsauken, Camden, and Absecon, New Jersey.
