One great day can change everything.

At The December 5th Fund, we believe that even in the hardest moments, families facing cancer deserve a day without worry. A day filled with peace, joy, and the chance to simply be together.

Inspired by a personal experience during our founder’s journey through cancer with his wife, we set out to give that same kind of day to other families. Through our Great Day Program, we plan personalized, stress-free days for families while a team of volunteers cleans, organizes, and refreshes their home. Then, through our Helping Hands Support Plan, we continue to support the family with ongoing help like meals, laundry, lawn care, and more.

Since 2016, we’ve supported hundreds of families across Missouri and Illinois. With the help of our growing volunteer network and generous partners, we bring comfort, relief, and meaningful memories to those who need it most.
