The Delta Chi Fraternity, Inc. is an international Greek-letter college social fraternity founded in 1890 at Cornell University, originally established as a professional organization for law students. In 1922 it broadened its membership to include all fields of study, transitioning toward a general fraternity. In 1929 it became the first international fraternity to discontinue the initiation practice commonly referred to as 'hell week.' Headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, the organization is a charter member of the North-American Interfraternity Conference. As of fall 2021, Delta Chi had initiated more than 126,000 members and comprised 113 member organizations with over 30 alumni chapters.
