The El Cajon Boulevard Business Improvement Association is a small, San Diego–based organization focused on public policy related to neighborhood business districts. It was incorporated in 1988 to administer the Boulevard Central Business Improvement District and later assumed oversight of the Boulevard Gateway District in 1997. Its primary goal is to improve both the physical environment and the economic vitality along the 60-block stretch of the Boulevard from Park Boulevard to 54th Street. The association serves the businesses and property owners along El Cajon Boulevard, as well as the broader local community, by coordinating district-wide improvements and related initiatives. It operates with a small staff and maintains a website at theboulevard.org, situating itself within the public policy and urban development space in California.
