The Environmental Justice Coalition for Water (EJCW) is a statewide coalition of grassroots groups and intermediary organizations. We are building a collective, community-based movement for democratic water allocation, management, and policy development in California. EJCW empowers low-income and people-of-color communities throughout California to advocate for clean, safe, and affordable water for their communities. Our vision for water justice is that all California communities have access to safe and affordable water, clean rivers, streams, and bays for personal domestic, cultural, ceremonial, recreational, and subsistence fishing uses. Water is life. Water is a human right.
