The ERISA Industry Committee (ERIC) is a national advocacy organization that represents large employers who provide health, retirement, paid leave, and other benefits to a nationwide workforce. Its member companies span multiple sectors and operate stores, plants, and facilities across the United States. The organization lobbies at the federal, state, and local levels to shape policies that broaden employer flexibility and promote uniform administration of benefit plans. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., ERIC maintains a relatively small staff focused on public policy work. In January 2025, ERIC filed suit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia challenging changes to mental health and substance use disorder parity regulations under MHPAEA and the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021.
