Founded as a nonprofit in 1980, the Flynn Center for the Performing Arts is based in Burlington, Vermont, and operates a restored 1930 Art Deco landmark and a smaller performance space. It presents live performances on its Main Stage and FlynnSpace and extends its reach to classrooms and other community venues across the state, bringing music, dance, theater, and comedy to diverse audiences. The center emphasizes inclusive access, representation, and education to foster belonging and open new ways of seeing through the arts. The organization functions as a venue and presenter within Vermont's performing arts ecosystem, collaborating with artists to create and present new work. Each year, more than 200,000 people experience performances on its stages or through statewide initiatives, and in fall 2025 a partnership with Lyndon Institute expanded its community reach to campus.
