The Funders Network is a non-profit organization based in Homestead, Florida, focused on strengthening philanthropic leadership to foster environmentally sustainable, socially equitable, and economically prosperous regions. It aims to be a leading resource in philanthropy for interdisciplinary thinking and action that expands opportunities for all communities. The group emphasizes that substantial change arises when funders collaborate, using joint action to transform regional policies and outcomes. It staffs funder working groups that support shared learning, develop best practices, and advance policy agendas and reforms. This work targets funders and philanthropic coalitions seeking measurable regional impact. The working groups employ outreach and education, convening, research and analysis, and support for regional practice, along with pooled funds and policy reform to raise awareness, deepen knowledge, and drive action. In addition to its internal programs, TFN provides strategic support to other place-based and regional funder collaboratives, including the Great Communities Collaborative in the Bay Area, the Central Corridor Funders Collaborative in the Twin Cities, and a growing Intermountain West Funder Network. The organization describes itself as operating with a small-to-mid-sized staff and serves as a coordination hub for funders across regions. In 2025, TFN launched the Partners for Places pilot funding opportunity to advance inclusive infrastructure workforce development and related economic initiatives.
