The new Geo. Wiedemann Brewing Co. is dedicated to the great brewing tradition of the original Wiedemann Brewery founded in Newport in the 1870s.

Wiedemann’s Bohemian Special Lager is a crisp and flavorful lager in the Bohemian tradition. The beer, which is relatively low alcohol compared to heavier craft beers, is brewed with a proprietary blend of specialty Pilsner and Munich malts that are used in many craft beers and aromatic hops. It’s a thirst-quenching, light-bodied beer designed to drink when you’re having more than one. And we'll have dozens of other great brews of all varieties from our award-winning brewing team Steve Shaw and Austin Smith.

Our new brewery complex in historic downtown St. Bernard features a  tavern-like taproom with 42 beer taps, a spacious sundeck, tree-lined beer garden, a full kitchen, live music and rooms for private events. Opening in May 2018! Let's Get Together!
