The Green Project is a nonprofit building-supply resale and salvage store located in the St. Roch/Bywater neighborhood of New Orleans, Louisiana. Its mission centers on promoting creative reuse by operating a marketplace for reclaimed materials and offering used building materials and surplus paint at low cost to the community. With an environmental focus, it aims to keep materials out of landfills and paint from entering local waterways, diverting about 2,050 tons (4.1 million pounds) of building materials annually and recycling more than 40,000 gallons of paint each year, much of which is sold to residents for under $10 per gallon. The organization also runs an environmental education program for both children and adults. In 2025, it partnered with Passion Lilie, reflecting collaboration with a local organization to advance its recycling and education efforts.
