The Kosciuszko Foundation is a national nonprofit focused on promoting educational and cultural exchanges between the United States and Poland and increasing American understanding of Polish culture and history. Founded in 1925 to mark the 150th anniversary of Thaddeus Kosciuszko's involvement in the American revolutionary cause, the foundation operates as a nonpartisan, nonsectarian membership organization. In 2023, it announced a collaboration with the Smithsonian Institution to provide museums with tools and technology to safely store priceless works of art.
