Since its inception in 1998, LTTS Charter Schools Inc. dba Universal Academy has changed in many ways, but remains steadfastly committed to challenging today’s youth to aspire to their highest potential, and to inspire a life-long love of learning.

Today a vibrant learning community of over 1700 students from 9 cultures, backgrounds and nationalities in grades prekindergarten through 12 is challenged by a rigorous core curriculum and innovative programs in 2 schools located in Irving and Coppell Texas. Students participate in learning opportunities in the classroom, on the stage, on the playing field and with colleges and universities, as well as non-profit and community groups, private schools and government agencies.

Universal Academy has a proven quality educational system. Our educators and support staff enthusiastically share the open-enrollment charter school’s mission to empower all students to take their place in the world as knowledgeable, competent responsible citizens.

Well-known for its award winning programs, Universal Academy is a complete school of choice and is the only public school or charter school in the State of Texas currently including the Universal Knowledge in its academic arsenal. Universal Academy utilizes a problem-based learning approach and individualized instructional method successfully and is one of the few such models in the State. Universal Academy offers students and families a wide range of educational options including Visual and Performing Arts, English as a Second Language, Gifted Programs, and Special Education Programs.

Universal Academy’s athletic program provides an environment where students develop sports skills, physical fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship and respect for others that will prepare for success in their adult life.
